Connect Doover to Claude

Connect Doover once and it works everywhere you use Claude: claude.ai in your browser, the Claude desktop app, and the Claude mobile app.

Before you start

  • A Doover account.
  • A Claude account. Connectors work on every Claude plan. On the Free plan you can add one custom connector.
  • Set up on claude.ai or the desktop app. Once it's connected there, it also works in the mobile app.
  • On a Team or Enterprise plan? Only an Owner can add Doover for your organisation. If you don't see an Add option, skip to On a Team or Enterprise plan.

1. Add Doover to Claude

  1. Open this link while signed in to Claude:

    Add Doover to Claude →

  2. Claude opens the Add custom connector dialog with the name and address already filled in. Check that the address is exactly https://mcp.doover.com/, then select Add.

If the link doesn't work for you, add it by hand: open Customize › Connectors, select Add custom connector, name it Doover, and enter https://mcp.doover.com/ as the server URL. Leave the advanced and OAuth settings as they are.

Doover shows a Custom label in your connectors list. That's expected: it means you added it by address.

2. Sign in with your Doover account

Select Connect next to Doover. A Doover sign-in page opens:

  1. Check the page asks to Allow access to Doover Control and shows claude.ai as the app asking.
  2. Sign in with the same email and password you use for the Doover app.
  3. Approve access. You're returned to Claude, and Doover shows as Connected.

3. Try it

Start a new chat and ask:

Who am I signed in as on Doover?

Claude should reply with your name and email. Then try:

Show me my devices and which ones are online.

If you belong to more than one Doover organisation, Claude will ask which one to use, or you can say "Use the Acme Water organisation."

Approving changes

Reading data doesn't ask permission. Anything that changes something in Doover, such as updating a setting, sending a command, or deploying an app, shows an approval prompt first:

  • Allow once runs this one action.
  • Always allow stops asking for that kind of action.

You can review these choices at any time under Customize › Connectors › Doover › Tool permissions, where each action can be set to Always allow, Needs approval or Blocked. We recommend leaving anything that sends commands or deploys software on Needs approval.

Turning Doover on and off in a chat

Select + in the message box, then Connectors, and use the toggle next to Doover. Turning it off for one chat doesn't disconnect your account.

On a Team or Enterprise plan

An Owner adds Doover once for the whole organisation. Each person then connects with their own Doover login, so everyone keeps their own permissions.

  • Owners: follow Set up Doover for your whole team.
  • Everyone else: open Customize › Connectors, find Doover, and select Connect. If you see Request instead, select it. Your Owner gets a notification and can enable Doover for the team.

Disconnecting

Open Customize › Connectors › Doover:

  • Disconnect signs Claude out of your Doover account. Doover stays in your list, so you can reconnect later.
  • Remove (in the ⋯ menu) takes Doover off your list completely.

Disconnecting stops Claude from using your Doover account immediately.
