Connect Doover to ChatGPT

Once Doover is connected, you can use it in ChatGPT on the web, desktop and mobile.

• A Doover account.
• A ChatGPT account.
• On ChatGPT Business, Enterprise or Edu? Your workspace admin decides what you can add. If you can't find the options below, send your admin Set up Doover for your whole team.

Doover isn't in ChatGPT's plugin directory yet. Until it is, you can add Doover as a custom MCP server, on ChatGPT plans and workspaces that allow it.

1. On ChatGPT on the web, go to chatgpt.com/plugins.
2. Select +, then Add custom MCP server.
3. Fill in:
   • Name: Doover
   • Description: Doover devices, data and apps
   • Server URL (under Connection): https://mcp.doover.com/
   • Authentication: OAuth
4. Read the warning about custom servers, then select I understand and want to continue, and Create as a plugin.
5. Doover appears under your personal plugins. Select + next to it to install it.

If you don't see Add custom MCP server, your plan or workspace doesn't allow custom servers. Ask your workspace admin, or use Claude instead.

ChatGPT opens a Doover sign-in page, either when you install the plugin or the first time you use it:

1. Check the page asks to Allow access to Doover Control and shows chatgpt.com as the app asking.
2. Sign in with the same email and password you use for the Doover app.
3. Approve access. You're returned to ChatGPT.

Start a new chat, type @Doover, and ask:

Who am I signed in as on Doover?

ChatGPT should reply with your name and email. Then try:

Show me my devices and which ones are online.

You don't have to type @Doover every time. Once it's installed, ChatGPT uses Doover whenever your question needs it.

If you belong to more than one Doover organisation, ChatGPT will ask which one to use, or you can say "Use the Acme Water organisation."

Reading data happens straight away. Anything that changes something in Doover, such as updating a setting, sending a command, or deploying an app, asks you to confirm first. You can approve or deny each action, and ChatGPT can remember your choice for the rest of that conversation. New conversations ask again.

Go to chatgpt.com/plugins, open Doover from your installed plugins, and disconnect or uninstall it. Disconnecting stops ChatGPT from using your Doover account immediately.
