Set up Doover for your whole team

This page is for the person who manages your company's Claude or ChatGPT account. You make Doover available once. Each staff member then connects it with their own Doover login, so everyone keeps exactly the permissions they already have in Doover.

Adding Doover for your organisation doesn't give anyone access to Doover data on its own. Each person still has to sign in with their own Doover account.

Claude Team and Enterprise

Who can do this: Owners and Primary Owners. On Enterprise, also custom roles that can manage the organisation's libraries.

Add Doover for everyone

  1. Open this link while signed in as an Owner:

  2. Claude opens Organization settings › Connectors with the name and address filled in. Check the address is https://mcp.doover.com/, leave the OAuth settings blank, and select Add.

Or add it by hand: Organization settings › Connectors › Add › Custom › Web, name it Doover, and enter https://mcp.doover.com/.

Staff then open Customize › Connectors, find Doover, and select Connect.

Requests from staff

If someone selects Request on Doover, you'll see it under Requested by your team on the Connectors page, and on Organization settings › Notifications › Requests. Enabling Doover approves it for everyone.

Recommended settings

  • Leave tool approvals at their defaults. Changes in Doover (settings, commands, deployments) always ask the user before they run.
  • If some staff should only read data through Claude, give them a Doover role that can view but not edit. Claude can't do more than the person's Doover role allows.

ChatGPT Business, Enterprise and Edu

Doover isn't in ChatGPT's plugin directory yet. Until it is, staff can only add it as a custom MCP server, which workspace admins must allow:

  1. In your workspace settings, open Permissions & roles.
  2. Allow custom MCP servers (developer mode) for the roles that need Doover.
  3. Share Connect Doover to ChatGPT with those staff.

Security notes for IT

  • Sign-in: OAuth 2.1 with PKCE, through Doover's own sign-in page. No passwords or API keys pass through Claude or ChatGPT.
  • Address: the only address involved is https://mcp.doover.com/.
  • Scope: every request runs as the signed-in user, under their Doover organisation and role.
  • Data: see What the Doover connector can see and store.
  • Revoking access: remove the connector or plugin in your admin console, or remove the person from your Doover organisation.
